After 12 years, Vedic mantras resonated again, Keshav Prayag Pushkar Kumbh started
After 12 years, the grand event of Keshav Prayag Pushkar Kumbh has started again in Keshav Prayag, located in Mana village, a border and mythologically important village of Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Devotees from all over the country are reaching this Maha Kumbh, which started with Vedic rituals and religious customs, in which the presence of devotees of Vaishnav sect of South India is especially prominent.
Devotees are earning virtue by taking a holy dip at the confluence of Alaknanda and Saraswati rivers in Keshav Prayag. This event is not only of religious importance, but has also become a wonderful example of Indian cultural unity.
Special preparations have been made by the district administration and police administration to run Keshav Prayag Pushkar Kumbh successfully and smoothly.
District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari informed that keeping in mind the convenience of the devotees, the walking routes have been improved and sign boards in various languages have been installed at various places. Apart from this, the deployment of police force on the walking routes, and the presence of SDRF personnel at the confluence site is ensuring security.
The tehsil administration has been instructed to regularly monitor the arrangements related to Pushkar Kumbh so that there is no inconvenience.
According to mythological beliefs, when the planet Jupiter enters Gemini, Pushkar Kumbh is organized at Keshav Prayag in Mana village every 12 years. This is the same place where the Alaknanda and Saraswati rivers meet, and it is considered extremely sacred.
This event is a symbol of faith and tradition especially for the Vaishnav devotees of South India. On this occasion, they take bath in Keshav Prayag and worship and participate in religious rituals.
According to Hindu scriptures, Keshav Prayag is the place where Maharishi Ved Vyas performed penance and composed the Mahabharata. Not only this, the great saints of South India Ramanujacharya and Madhvacharya also received divine knowledge from Maa Saraswati here.
For this reason, the organization of Keshav Prayag Pushkar Kumbh is considered very important not only from religious but also from historical point of view.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said on this occasion:
"Pilgrimage sites are not only the centers of our religious faith, but they are also symbols of unity and cultural harmony of the nation. The Pushkar Kumbh organized in Mana village is becoming a medium to connect North India and South India and is empowering the spirit of 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat'."
Keshav Prayag Pushkar Kumbh is an occasion that comes once in 12 years, and it is extremely important from religious, historical and social point of view. This event is not only a center of faith, but also presents a beautiful example of India's unity in diversity.
