The Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) has become fully active regarding travel arrangements in Kedarnath Dham. Committee President Hemant Dwivedi recently inspected the travel arrangements of Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham as well as 45 other temples associated with the committee and reiterated the resolve to turn them into a grand and devotional experience.
Joint initiative of Uttarakhand government and temple committee
Hemant Dwivedi said that the Uttarakhand government and the temple committee are working together to make the facilities for the pilgrims and travel arrangements in Kedarnath Dham more smooth and systematic. He said, "The travel arrangements of Badrinath and Kedarnath as well as 45 temples associated with the committee will also be brought to a high level so that devotees can reach all these religious places easily."
Travel arrangements for devotees so far
According to the BKTC President, so far more than 9 lakh devotees have visited Shri Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham. Out of these, more than 3.5 lakh devotees have visited Badrinath Dham and more than 5.5 lakh have visited the Lord in Kedarnath Dham.
Payed tribute to the contribution of Maharani Ahilya Bai Holkar
Recalling the contribution of Maharani Ahilya Bai Holkar in the construction of the Singhdwar of Badrinath Dham, Hemant Dwivedi expressed gratitude towards her devotion and service spirit. He said that under the tricentenary celebrations, the contribution of Maharani ji will be conveyed to the people.
Territory inspection of travel arrangements
On Sunday, Hemant Dwivedi thoroughly inspected the travel arrangements of both Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham. During this, he reviewed the arrangements by holding a meeting with the officials of ITBP, police administration and temple committee.
After darshan in Badrinath, he visited Mata Lakshmi temple and other important places, and worshiped Lord Shri Badrivishal. After this, he interacted with the pilgrims at Shri Kedarnath Dham and took suggestions regarding the travel.
Worship was done for public welfare
After reaching Badrinath Dham, Hemant Dwivedi visited Lord Badrivishal in the morning and worshiped for public welfare. He also visited Mata Lakshmi temple, where Dimri priests honored him by draping a shawl on him.
Described the opening of Hemkund Sahib gate as a day of good fortune
The BKTC president described the opening of the gates of Hemkund Sahib Lokpal Tirtha as a day of good fortune for the whole of Uttarakhand. He said that every possible effort is being made to make the journey more attractive and devotional for the devotees coming from the country and abroad.
