Chardham Yatra 2025: So far 5 lakh devotees have visited Kedarnath
Char Dham Yatra 2025 is at its peak in Uttarakhand. In just 22 days, more than five lakh devotees have visited Baba Kedar in Kedarnath Dham. At the same time, more than 30 lakh passengers have been registered for Chardham Yatra 2025 so far. Huge crowds of devotees have flocked to holy shrines like Kedarnath Dham, Badrinath Dham, Gangotri Dham and Yamunotri Dham.

Heavy crowds of pilgrims are being seen on the roads leading to Kedarnath Dham—Sonprayag and Gaurikund. District Magistrate Saurabh Gaharwar informed that Chardham Yatra 2025 is being conducted in a completely systematic manner. Walking routes, medical facilities and security arrangements have been tightened.

Crowds thronging for offline registration in Chardham Yatra
The enthusiasm among the pilgrims is at its peak regarding Chardham Yatra 2025. More than 2000 pilgrims are reaching Rishikesh every day and getting offline registration done. Registration centers have been set up at Rishikesh, Haridwar, Vikasnagar, Herbertpur, Nayagaon etc., where excellent arrangements have been made for electricity, water, toilets and seating.
Additional police force has been deployed by the district administration to ensure that the devotees do not face any inconvenience.
The doors of Hemkund Sahib opened on 25 May, huge crowd of Sikh devotees
The doors of Shri Hemkund Sahib, the main pilgrimage site of the Sikhs, were opened with due worship at 10 am on 25 May 2025. On the very first day, more than 4,500 Sikh devotees took a dip in the Him Sarovar and paid obeisance at Darbar Sahib.
Led by the Panch Pyaras, Sri Guru Granth Sahib was brought out of Sachkhand and installed in Darbar Sahib. The yatra started with Sukhmani Sahib Paath, Shabad Kirtan and Ardas.

A large number of pilgrims are reaching Uttarakhand from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Himachal, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh.
Police force, helpline numbers, and emergency services have been provided on the travel routes by the Dhami government.
Heavy crowd of devotees in Haridwar-Rishikesh, wave of faith of devotees on the Ganga Ghats
Heavy crowds were seen at Har Ki Pauri, Malviya Ghat, Subhash Ghat, and Nai Sota Ghat during the weekend in Haridwar. Long queues of vehicles were seen from roads to highways. Traffic police and CPU were constantly engaged in improving the arrangements.
Traffic jam on Delhi-Haridwar highway increased trouble
Due to weekend and Chardham Yatra, several kilometers long traffic jam was seen on Delhi-Haridwar highway from Sunday morning. Especially at places like Valmiki Chowk, Birla Ghat, and Om Bairagi Camp, vehicles were seen crawling for hours. The police force was constantly engaged in controlling the situation.
