Kailash Mansarovar Yatra will become expensive due to increased fee by China, route will pass through Tanakpur
Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is going to start once again, but this time the journey will be more expensive than in 2019. The main reason for this is the fee increased by China. Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN) has started finalizing the preparations for this journey. This time the journey will go through the traditional Tanakpur-Pithoragarh-Dharchula route.
The journey is starting for the first time after 2019
Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, which was closed since 2019, is starting from 30 June this time. The first group will reach Tanakpur on July 5 after completing medical examination and necessary formalities in Delhi. This time a total of 250 Shiva devotees will travel to Kailash in five groups.
Why has the journey become expensive this time?
In 2019, the fee charged by China was around $900 (about Rs 77,000). Now it has increased to $1,100 (about Rs 95,000). The change in the dollar rate is being cited as the reason for this increase.
Apart from this:
-
Fee of Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam – ₹51,000
-
Medical and Echo test, China visa fee – ₹10,400
-
China's new fee – around ₹95,000
-
Total travel cost – ₹1.84 lakh per person (approximately)
Compared to earlier, this journey has now become expensive by ₹17,000 to ₹20,000.
